Room Tour

I get this question frequently from Twitter and Instagram about my room. The question :

How and where did I get my inspiration?
Where did I bought all the stuff?
How do I arrange them?

I`m going to divide it in 2 section. The first section is about what website I browse and how I turn that inspiration into a real thing. The second section is the part I know you guys are excited about. The room, the furniture, the price and where to buy them.

I get my ideas and inspiration, believe it or not  through Pinterest. Pinterest is your best friend. It's addicting and you can find anything there. From DIY`s , fashion, food and the list goes on and on.

First ,you need an account, sign up and you're good to go. Just use the search bar, type anything you want. For example, 'Bedroom ideas'  and prepare for an abundance of ideas! (I mean like really )

If you like the picture, just click on the red button and pin it. You can create a specific board for it. Here's mine: Bedroom Inspiration

Inspiration and ideas, done! Now , how do I turn it  into a reality and how do I apply it to my bedroom? First , you need to have a budget, make sure you know exactly what you need and most importantly where to put them. Also, measuring tape is an important tool. You don't want to buy something and end up regretting later because it didn't fit.

I usually do my shopping at Ikea and Spotlight. Great thing about them is they have a website. For example, you see a furniture/decorations/lights from Pinterest, you can browse through Ikea website. It doesn't have to be exactly the same like the picture but you get the idea.

We're moving to my second and final section. The room tour!

I bought this bed frame 8 years ago . Man, that was a long time ago. It's still in great condition.

I couldn't find the net (tirai)  on  Ikea Malaysia website but I know it's available here. It was around RM 28+. The decorative lights also is from Ikea but they are seasonal and limited. You can find the similar at Kaison and Typo.

It's a decent size desk , I'm actually regretting that I didn't buy it in white!

I love this mirror. You can put your handbags and belts at the back. You can even hang your outfit for the next day. Best purchase ever!

This mini shelf is a life saver. It's cheap and you get an extra storage at the bottom.

Thia is  where I store my books, camera , face masks and all the other stuff.

My makeup table is actually a bed table but I use it as a vanity . I can't remember where I put the wheels, it had detachable wheels at the bottom. Unfortunately, this table is not available in Malaysia , I'm sorry :(  I bought this with the bed frame and I`m pretty sure it's discontinued.

My bedsheets and quilts are from Ikea. Someone joked that my room looks like an Ikea showroom, I take that as a compliment 😃. My final advice is to start slowly. You don't have to buy everything and all at once. Work within your budget. I hope this was informative and in a way helps you. Until next time, goodnight and good day!
